This one is a bit confusing. The description on Bandcamp says "cello-driven crust punk" but (a) the cello is often hard to make out, and (b) it resembles metalcore much more than it does crust punk (the d-beat tag is especially confusing as there are zero seconds of d-beat throughout).

A blog reader emailed me about this band back in January 2016 and somehow I missed it. Luckily, I stumbled on that email today and realized what a mistake I had made.
From what I can tell, the tracks available on their website come from two 3-song EPs: one from 2015 and one from 2018. On their website, they say they hope to record a 9-song LP soon. They're also playing on April 27, 2019 at ABC Fest in Vienna.

Respire is a blackened screamo band from Toronto, Canada that incorporates various unconventional instruments into their music (saxophone, glockenspiel, trumpet, violin, viola, cello, etc)
I've been looking forward to this release for a while.
Respire's previous album, Gravity and Grace is highly recommended, but the cello/viola parts weren't significant enough for me to post it here. With this new album, however, Respire has incorporated a violinist/violist into their main lineup.
